Pathways to Safety supports Black, Asian and minority ethnic and migrant women and their children who are facing domestic abuse and violence across Brent, Ealing, Harrow, Hillingdon and Hounslow. We understand the barriers that come with language, culture and uncertain immigration status, and this project is built around those realities. From the moment you reach out, you'll have a named worker who stays with you throughout your journey.

Wrap-around, culturally specific support
Every part of Pathways to Safety is designed for BME and migrant women and their families support that recognises the barriers mainstream services can miss.
Holistic case management
One named worker coordinates the practical, emotional and safety support you need and stays with you throughout.
Immigration-safe advocacy
Advocacy that understands immigration status and enforcement fears, so reaching out never puts you at risk.
Trauma-informed therapy
Therapeutic support that meets you where you are, delivered by people who understand your culture and experience.
Family support
Dedicated support for mothers and their children aged 3–17, helping the whole family rebuild safety and confidence.
Who Pathways to Safety is for
Women and children escaping domestic abuse.
We want you to know before you fill in a form whether this service is the right fit. Here's who we support and what "safe accommodation" means so that you can check.
You can access Pathways to Safety if…
- You're a woman aged 18 or over from a Black, Asian or minority ethnic community, or with uncertain immigration status
- You (and any children aged 3–17)
- Live in Brent, Ealing, Harrow, Hillingdon or Hounslow
- You are escaping or recovering from domestic abuse
- You are living in safe accommodation or awaiting a placement in it
What "safe accommodation" includes
Any of the following counts:
- A refuge or dispersed accommodation
- A sanctuary scheme in your own home
- Second-stage or move-on accommodation
- Specialist safe accommodation
- Temporary accommodation where DA support is being provided
No wrong door. If you’re unsure whether your situation qualifies, please get in touch no one is turned away because their situation is complex.
HOW TO REFER
Three steps to a conversation
You can refer yourself no GP letter or diagnosis needed. Support organisations, social workers and family members can also refer with the woman's consent.
Complete the referral form
You can refer yourself, or a support worker, social worker or organisation can refer with the woman’s consent. Most people finish the form in about 15 minutes.
Email it to us
Send the completed form to tborriello@eachcounselling.org.uk. We’ll confirm we’ve received it and let you know the next steps.
We get in touch
A named worker makes contact for a supportive first conversation checking what you need, your preferred language, and how we can keep you and your children safe.
